THE MONK WHO SOLD HIS FERRARI -Robin Sharma

This book was recommended to me by my friends. At first i was reluctant to read this one. After some time, it began appearing in all bestseller lists. So i took a copy and started reading. Some might say that this book is a life changer which might look as being exaggregated but its totally true. As you go through this book , you will realise that all the virtues and all the strategies explained in the book are true to the bottom.Only that we are not following or that we had been ignoring all along. His theory about living the present is absolutely great. All his preachings and his hints move along the pages in the form of a fable that makes it more intresting. The most brilliant thing about the concept is that you can apply it everywhere and anywhere.Nothing is said that we didnot know or never heard of but the way in which it is said does the trick.

Again a Must read for ALL ages

ALONG CAME A SPIDER - James Pattreson

James Patterson's most chilling and most brilliant Psychopathic thriller ever. The Killer Gary Soneji, keeps us guessing all the time. The pace is as usual in the patterson scale. This time the killer gets more personal and challenging. What more can you expect than having a psycho who is finding every one inferior and killing people with ease and most importantly, without evidence and above all that challenging the police, FBI , anyone, andeveryone till he finds our man Detective Alex Cross.Once he finds someone to match his wit, he plays his mind games. Here, the credit goes to the author he has made it so original. One cant imagine the width of Patterson's imagination. He keeps coming up with stories that only he can imagine and what less can we give him than our hearty wishes and one copy of the book?.As all Patterson books are, this one is also a must read for any thriller lover.

1st to Die - James Patterson

James Patterson makes a statement, a powerful one with his novel, 1st to Die.

The plot, which is skillfully woven, makes this novel click. Every chapter has a twist. With Patterson trademark small chapters, that’s too much twist. But, they are skillfully plotted. Believe me, you think you’ve cracked the plot and suddenly, you realize that the plot has double-took you. I’ve gone through this more than a couple of times.

Gripping, Electrifying, Break-Neck are the words to look for if you are trying to explain this book. Especially towards the end , it switches gears , grips and rips you apart. So quick is the pace that I finished it at a single stretch.

There are murders, not simple ones but Newly-weds are being murdered or , to be more realistic, Slaughtered. As the number of murders increases, they become nastier too.

Lindsay, a SFPD Inspector, is assigned to the case. Keeping in mind, the hierarchy of command, she forms a separate group, unofficial, comprising of her friend, the medical examiner, Claire, Cindy , a reporter and Jill , a D.A. Together, they crack the case. Meanwhile, Lindsay suffers from a kind of Anemia which is draining her energy. Still she holds her shape to solve this case. She also develops a relationship with her partner, Chris Raleigh which is also keeping her in shape.

All the evidence from the crime scenes, the testimonies, the investigations, all lead to a single man, Nicholas Jenks, a famous Novelist with a big stature. He is arrested and taken to court and after all these, you’ll find yourself in the middle of the book only.

The suspense and mayhem continues when a faint thought arises in Lindsay’s mind “What if Jenks is being framed?” And from that, things start falling in place I am leaving a part of the cake for you to taste. And I guarantee you that you will not be disappointed.

To be frank, this is ONE HELLUVA NOVEL. Have you ever heard some one saying “thrilling to the final page”? Well, this truly is.

HOUR GAME - DAVID BALDACCI

'Ya! I know the culprit now' is the thought that every chapter of this beautiful book brings in you.Had you read his prior books, u ll see the difference. His SPLIT SECOND is a scintillating sucess.regarding this book, it goes with a brisk pace but it does become predictable at the end, but doesnt fail to thrill at any cost. Its a series of murders and no one to put the blame on.Normal , it may look but the way the climax unveils, all credit is due there. You will find urself entertained when the whole story unfolds with impeccable plots and the skillfully engraved investigation part. Pace, suspence, murder and meyhem this book has it all. The Predictability goes against the book.

THE NEGOTIATOR -FERDRIK FORSYTH

International intrigue and suspence cannot get better.Forsyth has made a time-proof statement with this book. The hero Quinn, is second only to the legendary James Bond. The way inwhich the lead character handles the kidnappers is brilliant. And the clues that lead to the kidnappers were well framed too.Despite the technical jargon, which indeed was necessary, descriptions feelings etc were depicted flambuoyantly. The power play at the highest of levels is scintillating. But you need patience to read thro the novel .It starts a bit too slow.Yet once it gets ignited, the pace grows exponentially.A beautiful, enjoyable novel by all standards. And it can be called 'CLASSIQ'

Vandhargal Venrargal [tamil] - Madhan

I have delibrately included this book in this review section purely for its brilliance and natural story telling.Madhan, the author has taken the most happening history in the world and the most intense one in INDIA.The Conquor and Rule of the MOGHULS in INDIA.Every story has its hero/in and its own share of disaster and glory. The first chapter is a clear example of shear brutality shown by the Afgan invaders. The Man from Afgan, TAIMUR starts the book with blood and bodies and the book travels thro triumph, betrayal, embracement, extreme rage, vengence etc. If you are intrested in INDIAN heritage and INDIAN history, This is a must read.Even if you dont know tamil , rent a man and get it translated.I'll bet that its worth it.The narrative or the technique used by the author in this is an absolute beauty. He puts you in the scene.Once you finish it you will have the satisfaction of having lived with the giants like Akbar, Babar, Aurangzib , Mohd. Ghori, Mohd. Gazini etc. Hats Off to Madhan.

Angels And Demons - Dan Brown

Another block buster from Dan Brown. This gets predictable in the middle but still the neck-breaking pace compnsates. The AMBIGRAMS are extrordinarily beautiful. That can be seen from the cover of the book to your left. The artist bags all the credit. The time line in the novel is short which explains th epace of the novel. This surely makes Robert Langdon a household name. The very concept of ANTIMATTER is dealt with extreme brilliance. The author has done a lot of homework and he gives us a lot of information. The CERn research facility and the colision tube make the reader live in 26th century.
